TALKS

A slide show which guides participants through the historical development of Stumpwork. Learn the intrigues of 17th century life when Stumpwork was first popular in England, through to renewed interest in Victorian times and the present day.

Embroiderers Guilds; gain an insight to a new challenge.

I find Women’s Institutes to be enthusiastic and inquisitive.

Art Groups; use the Stumpwork in conjunction with other media.

Women’s Guilds; enjoy an afternoon or evening presentation.

Learn about a form of stitching that is experiencing a revival.

The slide show is proving popular. Samples of my work are on show to demonstrate what is possible and as inspiration for audience members to book a Taster Day to ‘have a go’. This may lead to a longer course.

Talks are designed to fit around your time constraints but on average are about 1.5 hours long allowing for questions.
